It was a little hard to decide what star value to give this game. On the one hand, Life on Mars is a solid 4 star game, but Metal Dragon is a 3 star game. I can’t give half scores so I’ve settled on 3 stars as a whole. Life on Mars is an excellent game, with great controls, atmosphere and progression. The only downside is the game can be beat in less than 3 hours and ends on a cliffhanger. Metal Dragon on the other hand has boring gameplay, frustrating controls that could have benefited from a strafe button and worst of all has dialog befitting that of a foul-mouthed teenager. It was a charming game at first reminiscent of games like Commando or Ikari Warriors, but as soon as the main protagonist opens his mouth, whatever charm the game had goes right down the drain. It goes beyond cheeky to downright gutter talk. So, in my opinion, buy the game for Life on Mars.
